We’re now fleshing out the 2016 calendar, with key themes for each quarter of 2016 – but before we set anything in stone, we want your ideas and preferences.
We’re thinking of tackling business, legal and wider planning at the start of the year. So often a vital aspect that’s overlooked, we reckon getting 2016 off to a strategic start lays the foundations for a focused, organised – and hopefully more risk-free, successful – year.
From the law side, we’ll hold free clinics on important planning around legal obligations and considerations – asset protection and wider life planning, together with planning for recent and upcoming key legal changes in the business arena. We’re also looking at bringing in other business planning experts to give us all a heads up on preparing a winning overall business plan for 2016.
In the second quarter, we’re considering focusing on marketing, public relations and social media. We know on the legal front, this can sometimes feel like a bit of a minefield – website terms and conditions, naughty employees reefing off on Facebook, workplace crises that draw media attention, trademarking … So we’ll be holding legal clinics to provide support, tips and must-have tools to help ensure your business is following best legal practice in these areas. We’re also looking at bringing in marketing, PR and social media experts to work with us all on innovative ways to get our businesses’ great stories out there consistently and creatively.
Increasingly, researchers are looking at how to create healthier, more productive work places – and what employers sometimes aren’t aware of is that they have onerous obligations, not just in ensuring employees aren’t physically hurt on the job, but they aren’t psychologically maimed, either.
In the third quarter, we’re looking at running clinics on employers’ legal obligations on the health and safety front – timely given all the recent legislative changes – and also looking at the proper processes and procedures for helping stressed employees.
We’d also love to bring in some corporate wellness experts to help us look at the preventative, proactive measures we can all put in place in our work lives to make for happier, thriving workplaces and homes.
For the last part of the 2016, we reckon it’ll be time for consolidation. So, we’ll be holding clinics and networking to monitor and share progress, and to set the groundwork for an even greater BizClub 2017.
One other exciting consideration we’d love your feedback on is a great motivational speaker. As part of BizClub’s ethos of boosting our whole community, we’re keen to bring in a high-profile speaker to speak to BizClub members and the wider community to spur us all on even further. We’d love to hear your dream wish list of go-getters who have inspired you.
Simply send us an email with all your feedback to bizclub@aspiringlaw.co.nz by December 11th, and you’ll go in the draw, too, for another chance at winning the major marketing package from the creatives at Calvary.
